A silent tea ceremony is a simple thing done with full attention: we make tea, we drink it, and we stay present to it.

There is nowhere to get to and nothing to accomplish. For the length of the ceremony, your only task is to be here — to feel the warmth of the cup in your hands, to notice the taste, to let your attention rest on something small and good. Most of us rarely give ourselves that.

Tea has been used this way for centuries, across many cultures — to slow down, to practice presence, and to meet one another in stillness rather than conversation. The ritual was never really about the tea. The tea is the doorway. What you're practicing is attention, and the rare ease of being with others without needing to fill the silence.

You may leave calmer, more grateful, more like yourself. You may simply feel rested. Either way, you'll have given yourself something rare — an hour with nothing to do but be present.

This is the perfect practice for someone who looking for ways to invite ritual into their life.

  • All are welcome — no experience needed.

  • Most teas are fermented and contain varying amounts of caffeine.

  • Wear something comfortable for sitting.

  • Triangle Healing Center has yoga mats and back jacks.
